How a visit works

  1. Check in at the front table

A volunteer asks for a first name and how many people you are feeding. That is all we write down.

  2. Take a cart and shop

The pantry is set up like a small grocery store. You choose what your household will eat.

  3. Stop at the cold case

Milk, eggs and meat are handed out at the end so they stay cold.

  4. We help you to the car

Volunteers will carry bags or walk with you to the bus stop on Granary Road.

If you cannot come in

The mobile pantry is at the Wren Hollow school gym on the first and third Wednesday of each month, 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

For home delivery, call (530) 555-0168 by Monday. Deliveries go out on Thursday afternoons to Alder Bend, Wren Hollow and Dunmore.

Common questions

Do I need to live in Alder Bend?
No. Anyone who comes is welcome.
How often can I come?
Once a week for each household. If that is not enough, tell a volunteer and we will work something out.
Can I pick up for a neighbor?
Yes. Tell us how many people are in their household so we can pack the right amount.
What should I bring?
Bags or a box if you have them. We have spares if you do not.
Will you ask about my income or immigration status?
No. We ask for a first name and how many people you are feeding, and nothing else.
