Every part of the well, from the tap to the bottom

The letters on the drawing match the services beside it. If you are not sure which one you need, describe what you see at the tap and we will work it out.

Pressure tanks and controls

A pressure tank holds a cushion of air so the pump can rest between uses. When the air charge is lost, the pump starts every time a tap opens, and it wears out years early. We test the tank, the pressure switch and the control box, then replace only the part that has failed.

Signs you need this

  • The pump clicks on and off every few seconds
  • Pressure surges and fades in the shower
  • The tank sounds full of water when you knock on it

Well inspections

We lower a camera down the casing and record what it sees: cracks, corrosion, scale, and the condition of the screen. You get the video and a two-page written report. For a sale, we add a timed flow test that lenders accept.

When to book one

  • You are buying or selling a home on a well
  • The water has turned sandy or cloudy
  • The well has not been looked at in ten years

Water level and yield testing

Yield is how many gallons a minute the well can give without drawing down. We measure the standing level, pump the well at a steady rate, and chart how quickly it recovers. The result tells you whether to lower the pump, add storage, or leave things alone.

When to book one

  • The well runs dry late in summer
  • You plan to add irrigation or a second house
  • A neighbor has drilled a new well nearby

Pump repair and replacement

Most house pumps here hang between 150 and 300 feet down. Our hoist truck pulls the pump and pipe in a couple of hours. We test the motor on the ground, and if it has failed we fit a replacement matched to your well's depth and yield.

Signs you need this

  • No water and the breaker keeps tripping
  • Low pressure that a new tank did not fix
  • A power bill that has climbed for no clear reason

Water testing and filtration

We take samples to a state-certified lab and go through the results with you in plain terms. If treatment is needed, we size it to the test: a sediment filter, an iron filter, a softener, or ultraviolet disinfection. We do not sell equipment the results do not call for.

Signs you need this

  • Rust stains in sinks and laundry
  • A rotten-egg smell from the hot tap
  • A new baby in the house, or no test in the past year

New wells

We start with a site visit to look at access, setbacks from septic systems, and what neighboring wells have found. Then we file the county permit, drill, set the casing, develop the well until it runs clear, and install the pump and tank. A typical house well takes three to five working days once the permit is issued.
